Island Peak Climbing (expedition – 6,189m) in the Everest region is among very famous mountaineering expeditions in Nepal. Although Nepal is home to 8 out of 14 highest peaks in the world going over 8,000 meters, numerous other mountains in the Himalayan region draw a large number of climbers every use climbing them is equally demanding, and similarly adventurous. Just like the legendary 8-thousand, these lesser mountains give a good test to the skills and awareness of the Mountaineers. Island Peak is one of them, and this peak climb is also excellent for the practice of mountaineering skills and acclimatization as a prelude to an Everest expedition.

Our itinerary for Island Peak expedition does not just take you to the top of this mountain from where you will enjoy a heavenly panorama of Himalayan peaks and other sceneries; it also helps you collect the intimate experience of the Sherpas, their culture, and lifestyle. We will start the Island Peak Climbing with Everest Base Camp Trek with a short flight through a very charming aerial mountain route to Lukla. Then head towards Island Peak in the way towards Everest as far as Everest Base Camp. We have also set aside days for acclimatization. Once we reach the Island Peak Base Camp, it is possible to stand atop the summit in about two days. While some set up a high camp and proceed towards the summit, others spend two nights at the base camp and reach the summit in a single attempt. Depending on weather condition and other factors, your guide will choose the best alternative for you.

Cancellation Policy

  • Free cancellation up to 60 days prior departure
  • 30% of the total cost of the trip will be charged if canceled between 60 to 30 days prior to the departure date
  • 60% of the total cost of the trip will be charged if canceled in between 30 to 14 days prior to the departure date.
  • 100% charge of the total cost if canceled within 14 days prior to the departure date.
  • We’ll not provide any refund in the case of no show.
  • Regrettably, in case we cannot complete the trek/tour due to the customer’s problem or sickness, or unfavorable weather, there will be no refund.
  • Extending the trekking/tour more than given itinerary an extra charge will be applied accordingly
  • If cannot organize the agreed trip due to bad weather or any unforeseen events, we’ll arrange a similar tour in the mutual understanding with the travelers

Notes

  • You must have insurance for emergencies, and your insurance policy must cover helicopter evacuation. Please make sure that your protection will cover helicopter evacuation up to 5,500 mt.
  • If an emergency arises during your trek, we will provide prompt and professional rescue and medical Please provide your policy details and authorize us to deal directly with your insurance company on your behalf.
  • This trip requires you to be in good health and physically fit. So, we recommend a thorough physical examination before you start the trek.
  • Your familiarity with the mountainous terrain and previous trekking experience will be plus points.
